The Bram Stoker Film Festival Fashion Show 2012

In October, Spirit Models took part in the second annual fashion show at the Bram Stoker Film Festival, on the centenary of the authors death. The festival takes place each year in the location of Whitby, North Yorkshire were Stoker wrote his infamous book.
 The Fashion Show featured many bespoke and couture Goth and Steampunk fashion of all genres for men and women. Georgian Dandys and Gowns, Neo-Victorian, Mediaval, Edwardian, PVC, Latex, Gothic Lolita, Geisha Goth, Pinstripe and Cybergoth were all on the catwalk. Designers included, Whyte Phantom, Catlayst Latex, (who showcased their Tim Burton Inspired Corpse Bride dress) Falcieri designs, Engineers of Desire, Spank plus many many more. Outfits from the catwalk and fashion from other Goth and Steampunk artisans were also available to buy at Bram’s Cornucopia of Curiosities three day market. The show was in support of St Catherine’s Hospice and whick included a charity raffle with unique and one-off prize from one of the catwalk designers.

The Bram Stoker International Film Festival celebrates the life of Bram Stoker and his legacy through four days and nights of Gothic decadence including the highly anticipated  and world famous Bram Stoker European Vampires Ball now in it's fourth year. The festival hosted their first ever Alternative Fashion show, the festival partnered with Spirit Model Management, the UK's largest Alternative Modelling Agency and we supplied many of our top gothic models.

The event will be held annually during the festival and the aim is for the Alternative Fashion show to become the most prestigious and professional show of it's kind in Europe.

Whitby is famous for holding the annual Gothic weekends and attracts thousands of visitors per year, also infamous as the town where Bram Stoker started writing his novel 'Dracula' it was whilst staying in the small North East coast fishing town that Bram Stoker found the inspiration to begin creating the most famous figure in horror film and literature, DRACULA. The legacy left by
 Bram Stoker certainly started the Victorian Gothic culture, continuing to this present day in Whitby.
